Banking Credit Analyst

Robert Half's growing client is adding a Credit Analyst to their team! The responsibilities of the credit analyst include analyzing credit data and financial information of persons or companies that are applying for credit or loans to determine the risk that the bank, or other lending or credit-granting institution will not recoup funds loaned. These job duties include but are not limited to 1. Input customer financial information into the Equity Manager Software. 2. Prepare written independent credit analysis to be included in loan presentation, not to include the credit approval process. 3. Assist loan officers in developing appropriate underwriting standards for new and existing loans. 4. Provides loan officers, senior management, and the Board of Directors with an objective assessment of the credit quality of individual loan relationships and overall loan portfolio quality. 5. Assists in the early identification of loans with potential credit weaknesses, thereby promoting timely action to minimize credit losses for the bank. 6. Perform and oversee credit file reviews for adherence to lending policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Recommend necessary corrective actions should unsound conditions and practices be identified. 7. Responsible for completing the loan review program as established by management approved metrics, on a timely basis. 8. Prepare written review for findings of each file or credit review with recommended follow-up procedures to be presented to loan officers and senior management. 9. Monitor and complete file checklist for documentation completeness, exceptions and missing documentation throughout the credit analysis process. 10. Present written findings and responses from loan officers in a timely manner to the Chief Lending Officer and to appropriate loan committees. 11. Assist in resolving credit rating disputes between officer guidance and system generated credit rating reports. 12. Attend the bank's officer's loan committee and provide necessary information or comments, as appropriate. Requirements
