The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller on accounting staff updates. We have an excellent opportunity for a Assistant Controller position. What you get to do every day - Developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits - Manage the accounting team during the closing process to make sure deadlines are met - Maintain implementation and insure adherence to accounting policies and procedures - Additional responsibilities if necessary - Encourage accountability and the meeting of deliverables - Examine and build Ad Hoc financial reports - Detect and prepare process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency - Contribute to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment - Make sure regular account reconciliation to completion - Backfill for Controller when necessary - Create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook - Set up various technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies - Aid with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

- Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP) - CPA a plus not essential - Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems - Excellent oral and written communication skills - 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience - Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical - Oracle NetSuite Technologies experience - Solid understanding of month end closings - Expertise in General Journal - Proficiency in manufacturing - Foundational knowledge in COST-OF-GOODS a plus - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
