Analyst II, Tech Finance

Overview

The Analyst II, Tech Finance will provide support in the financial and business planning activities for the Tech Finance team. This team manages the overall technology budget and drives significant strategic initiatives (both one-time and ongoing) with team members across the organization and provides management-level decision support, financial forecasts, and other critical strategic analyses. A strong financial competency and keen ability to problem solve in a consultative nature within a cross functional team is essential. An ideal candidate must have a proven background in finance, strategy, and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance with the preparation and reconciliation of the overall Technology budget for the firm
  • Provide input on the development of and performs maintenance of a source of truth on expenses, ROI, investment strategy, and capacity planning
  • Contribute to Technology forecasting by analyzing and advising on the impact the book of work on portfolio growth expectations
  • Prepare and compile complex financial assessments (e.g. partnerships, investments, new initiatives, ) including business case development (and financial/bottom line impacts)
  • Partner with the product and business organizations to assess the value and opportunity cost of considered features in the product backlog
  • Support optimal prioritization decisions in an agile environment
  • Develop crisp and concise presentations for senior management
  • Other Reporting Activities as needed

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in finance (FP&A, iBanking, or other) and/or accounting

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is

necessary. 25% of travel is required.

  • Self-starter able thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross- functional environment that is outcome and results-driven
  • Strong financial analytics / modeling skills, business strategy acumen, talent for communication of complex business topics, project
  • Technology strategy and/or financial planning background and experience, with exposure to product development processes and understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (Power BI)Demonstrated ability to partner effectively and drive change across functional areas
  • Strong end-to-end problem-solving skills including:
    • Defining and deconstructing problems
    • Structuring, building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses, leveraging operational, financial, and market data
    • Applying strong business judgment to surface implications from analysis and developing practical recommendations
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions, work well in cross- functional teams
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with ability to objectively prioritize
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
  • Flexibility for occasional travel
