Robert Half Finance is looking for a talented finance and accounting individual to work with a thriving company as an Accounting Manager. This is a successful manufacturing organization that will recognize your efforts. The Accounting Manager position is a newly created role that will report directly to the Director of Finance of the firm. Leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable will be essential for this role. Candidates with the ability to create and monitor the company's finance and accounting operations preferred. This Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for full-time employment that is located in the Lake County, FL area. Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include but are not limited to: -Manage the month end accounting close process and ensure that all timelines are met to enable thorough analytical review of results. Prepare and review financial statements with Finance Director. -Manage credit and collections, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, expense accounts, etc. -Analyze and adjust as necessary all significant reserves and accruals (bonus, rebates, and commissions). -Perform timely reconciliations/analyze including cash and ensure proper audit support in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls. Coordinate and work closely with the internal and external auditors to achieve successful audits. -Lead inventory transactions accounting to ensure inventory accuracy and make recommendations for cost improvements. Participate year-end physical inventory. -Assist in analyzing company needs, assessing priorities and developing plans in terms of cost containment, margin improvement, CAPEX, and long-term investment needs. -Work with Purchasing to ensure standard costs accuracy and coordinate standard cost roll-ups. Coordinate cycle count activities and monitor inventories throughout the year to maintain physical inventory exemption. Improve slow-moving and obsolete and maintain optimal month on hand inventory. -Promote, support and adhere to all safety and quality related policies and procedures. Requirements

-Deep understanding of manufacturing accounting and MRP software. -3+ years of manufacturing finance and accounting experience. -5+ years of recent relevant financial experience. -Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience -CPA or MBA preferred
