Accounting Coordinator

Description

Job Description:

* Process MRO payables
* Communication with vendors
* Vendor set up maintenance
* Match invoices to purchase orders
* Prepare check runs twice a month
* Monthly analysis of price variances and A/P aging
* Quarterly assistance with financial audits and auditors request
* Prepare quarterly reports under IFRS
* Prepare Journal entries and calculate accruals
* Contributes to team effort by cross training and helping wherever needed
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory tracking
* Analyze, balance, and document assigned general ledger accounts
* Gain an understanding of Glovia System
* Support daily requests
* Assist in the organization of the accounting electronic files
* Back up for accounts receivable and payable
* Work on Business improvements objectives outlined as personal business plans


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business OR at least 3 years of experience in similar manufacturing accounting role
  • Accounts receivable AND/OR Accounts payable experience
  • Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with an ERP or MRP software package
  • Experience with general ledger and journal entries
  • Experience with month and year end

Hours:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
