Dynamic growing company with a global footprint is currently looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Cash Operations Team.
Located in Reston VA, this role will sit within Accounting, while working closely with other teams, including: Shared Service, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Operations. The Accounting Analyst will: apply their knowledge to identified business problems; develop and propose solutions; and work collaboratively with aforementioned areas to bring those solutions to fruition.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, a great attitude, refined communication skills, resilience, and tenacity. Experience with cash or billing operations and reconciliations strongly preferred.
' Provide accurate reports on a regular basis
' Record regular financial transactions including project based coding, processing and completion of the posting process
' Post information to accounting software and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
' Review and tracking of client contracts
' Provide analysis to help managers and executives make key project decisions
' Independently manage individual time and tasks
' Complete deliverables related to Finance and Performance management
' Track managers' sales pipeline information to ensure information is accurate and current
' Follow and improve department policies and procedures
' Tasks including but not limited to report creation, time and expense review and tracking, client invoicing, and leading project and account reviews
' Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
' Experience with recording accounting entries on a project basis
' Demonstrate understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
' Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including: QuickBooks, Excel, Word MS Project, and Powerpoint
' Open to travel as business needs require
' Flexibility to meet and exceed company and client expectations
' Demonstrate ability to solve problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and innovation
' High level of written and oral communication in the English language
' Demonstrate poise, confidence and professional maturity to interface with senior-level executives in a clear and concise manner
' Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
' Ability to adapt to a changing environment and multi-task assignments
' Ability to define, create, and complete a task without a great deal of guidance
' Experience in Accounting and an interest in financial performance reporting
' Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
' Experience in meeting deadlines in a high pressure environment
