Our client located in Creve Coeur, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team! This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time between 7: 00 am and 8: 30 am. This is considered a temporary position with the strong possibility of permanent hire, depending on candidate performance & business needs. During the temporary period, the position will pay between $15.00 - $16.00 per hour, and there will be a salary review upon permanent hire with the potential for an increase at that time.   The main purpose  of this role is to manage assigned client accounts and assist the accounting department with A/P and A/R duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative support background, an aptitude for numbers, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  



Job Duties:



  • Manage various documents, including contracts,  invoices, bills of ladings, and purchase orders

  • Enter sales and purchase contracts into company system

  • Assist customers with any inquiries 

  • Build relationships with clients, notifying them of any updates, issues, or delays

  • Create and prepare various reports as requested

  • Obtain and process payments for suppliers and freight carriers 

  • Work with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies  

  • Audit and reconcile accounts and orders

  • Generate customer invoices

  • General clerical work (faxing, filing, copying, etc.)

  • Additional support and administrative duties as needed



Requirements:
  • 2-5 years in an office support role required

  • Previous experience working in accounting or in a role related to accounting highly preferred

  • Strong 10-key and typing skills required

  • Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred, ideally in accounting, business administration, or similar major

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

  • Strong aptitude for math, including working with percentages

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A stable work history
