Senior Accountant - Atlanta Metro

The Senior Accountant assists in the day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and financial analysis. You will be performing financial planning, optimizing financial processes, and preparing financial reports.
As Senior Accountant, you should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial management principles and extensive experience in a similar role, someone whose expertise translates into optimized financial operations and increased profitability.

Job Duties

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring closing processes, billing, invoicing, expenses, reimbursements, and payroll administration.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for executive review.
• Guiding financial decisions by developing and monitoring policies and procedures.
• Evaluating and enhancing financial controls and tax return procedures.
• Analyzing and interpreting balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and liabilities.
• Performing internal audits and financial risk assessments, as well as facilitating intervention strategies.
• Maximizing returns on excess cash balances and improving closing and reporting cycles.
• Coordinating and recording investments and maintaining fixed asset records.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• Construction industry/percentage of completion basis of accounting/preferred
• At least two years' experience as an accountant, or similar.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, corporate accounting
• Superb organizational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
