Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant - Due to growth! In office daily reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting processes for the organization.
Responsibilities include month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations and reporting, cash receipts, reviewing recurring activity invoices, and supporting both financial and compliance audits and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare assigned month-end journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain accrual and deferral activities, as assigned.
- Prepare and follow up on assigned balance sheet reconciliations and roll forward schedules.
- Perform and follow up on assigned variance analyses.
- Review assigned invoice activity for proper cost center and GL coding.
- Support assigned compliance reporting, such as property tax exemptions, personal property tax filing, debt covenant reporting, DOE single audit.
- Other financial projects and tasks as assigned by the Controller or VP Finance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
- Any non-profit and/or higher education experience a plus
- Any experience with Financial Edge a plus
- Public accounting and CPA a plus
